We know you have questions so we have done our best to answer the common ones, we will update these as we receive more so keep checking back

Does my child need to be ‘good at art’?

Not at all. InterArts is about creativity, curiosity and confidence — not artistic ability. We welcome children of all experience levels. If your child has ever made something, wondered about something, or wanted to understand how things work, they belong here.

How do I book?

All bookings are made online through our booking platform IPAL. Visit the Book a Class page to see available sessions and secure your place.

How long is a term?

Terms run between 5 and 7 weeks, aligned with the school year. Fees are calculated per session and charged termly, so you only pay for the sessions in each specific term.

Why can't I pay session by session?

InterArts is a programme, not a drop-in class. Each project builds across weeks — ideas develop, work evolves, and participants contribute to something collective. Termly booking means everyone is committed to the process, which is what makes the work possible.

The exception is InterArts Play (ages 2–4), which can be booked termly or paid as you go — reflecting the flexibility young families need.

Where do classes take place?

InterArts sessions take place at Headcorn Village Hall, Kent. Full address and directions are provided in your booking confirmation

What should my child bring?

All essential materials are provided. We recommend comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for creative activity — sessions involve making, and things can get messy.

Can my child join mid-project?

Where space allows, yes. Some projects work best from the beginning, so we will always advise on the most suitable entry point when you get in touch.

Are parents required to stay?

For InterArts Play (ages 2–4), when it launches, a parent or carer must be present throughout the session and be prepared to get just as messy! For InterArts Explore (ages 4–6), parents are invited to observe in the room. For all other programmes, children attend independently.

What happens if we miss a session?

Missed sessions cannot be refunded or carried over as standard — sessions are paid for termly in advance and our costs are committed regardless of attendance. In exceptional circumstances — serious illness, bereavement or significant family emergency — we may consider a credit note transferable to a future term at our discretion. Do you offer any discounts?

Yes — a 10% sibling discount applies for each additional child from the same family. Please contact us at hello@interarts.co.uk for more information.

How do I find out about upcoming programmes?

Join a waiting list via our booking platform or follow us on Instagram and Facebook for programme announcements, session dates and availability updates.

Do you have an SEND Policy?

We do not currently have a specific SEND policy, but we are committed to being as inclusive as possible and will discuss individual needs with you before booking. We may ask parents or carers to remain present where this supports a child's participation and enjoyment of the sessions. Please contact hello@interarts.co.uk to have a conversation.

What are your values as an organisation?

Are your staff qualified?

InterArts is founded and led by Sam Perez-Lumbreras, who holds a First Class degree in Theatre Design, a Master's in Art & Design in Education, Arts Award Adviser status, and a Level 5 First Class certificate in Youth Arts Project Management. She also holds an Enhanced DBS certificate, NSPCC safeguarding certification, and a First Aid certificate. Full details are available in the About section.

We occasionally bring in visiting professionals and guest workshop leaders who specialise in a particular art form. All guests meet our full safeguarding requirements in line with our Safeguarding Policy.
